Within the continental U.S., most products under 100 lbs. are shipped via UPS Ground. UPS shipping requires a physical address. No shipments may be made to a post office box.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) means a shipment that does not require a full 48- or 53-foot trailer. By default products over 100 lbs. will be shipped with FedEx Freight.
Most online orders are shipped the same business day the order is received. A customer will typically receive the shipment within 5 to 7 business days after placing an order. Please contact us at 1-800-455-9107 if you need to receive product more quickly than our normal shipping method would typically deliver.
Certified Scale does not send a shipping notification email for drop-shipped products. Drop-shipped products are sent directly from the manufacturer. Tracking information may not be available.
Certified Scale does not ship or accept packages cash on delivery (COD). Any attempted COD shipments to Certified will be refused.
A customer should refuse to accept delivery of a damaged package from the carrier. If a customer accepts delivery of a damaged package containing products from Certified Scale, he must do all of the following:
If a customer accepts delivery of a damaged package and fails to complete all four of the steps listed above, he is deemed to have accepted the product as having arriving undamaged. In this case, Certified Scale’s regular return policy and all current manufacturer’s warranties and restrictions will apply.
Certified Scale offers a return option for products sold online. This return policy applies only to online orders. A customer may return products within 30 days of the invoice date, according to the policy explained here.
Manufacturer restrictions and restocking fees may apply to certain products.
A customer must receive authorization from Certified Scale before returning product(s) for any reason. (See how to obtain an authorization number.) No return of any kind will be accepted unless accompanied by a unique return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. Certified Scale reserves the right to refuse any unauthorized returns.
A customer has 5 days to ship a product to Certified Scale after the RMA number is issued. Written proof of shipping date from the shipping company may be required if any question arises. Certified Scale reserves the right to refuse any returns that are shipped later than 5 days after an RMA number is issued.
Returned products must be 100% complete, including all original boxes and other packing materials, manuals, blank warranty cards, and other accessories provided by the manufacturer. Certified Scale reserves the right to refuse the return of incomplete products.
The customer is responsible for the cost of the return shipment.
Certified Scale is responsible for the cost of shipping replacement product to the customer in the following cases:
The original product was defective.
The original product was not the item that was ordered.
The original product was damaged in shipping.
The original shipping method will be used.
Certified Scale recommends that a customer fully insure the return shipment of product(s) against loss and damage in transit, and that the customer use a carrier and shipping method that provides proof of delivery.
Certified Scale is not responsible for loss during shipment.
